Checking a Drawing for Compliance
The project Compliance tab runs the server's drawing-compliance rules on one of the project's drawings and lists every finding in a sortable, filterable table.
Where it is
Open a project and go to its Compliance tab: /admin/projects/{projectId}?tab=compliance. Like every tab on the project page, the URL is shareable.
Running a check
- Pick a Drawing (the first drawing of the project is selected for you).
- Click Run compliance check.
- A summary line shows whether the drawing is compliant (no Error findings), how many checks passed, the finding counts by severity and when the check ran.
The findings table
Each row is one finding:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Severity | Error, Warning or Info |
| Rule | The rule that was violated (for example unique-tags) |
| Category | The rule group, such as TagFormat or Spacing |
| Element | The drawing element the finding is about. When the finding names an element, the button opens the drawing with that element selected and framed |
| Message | What is wrong; hover for the suggested fix |
| Standard | The standard the rule comes from, when one applies |
Use the column header menus to filter and sort, and the export button to download the findings.
Limits
- The check runs on the drawing's saved nodes and connections. A drawing with nothing saved yet reports "no saved elements to check" instead of a false pass; save the drawing and run it again.
- Findings about a connection (rather than a node) show the connection id but have no jump-to-element button.
- Rules use the default rule set; per-standard rule overrides are not editable from this tab yet.
