ErgoPlanner User Guide
ErgoPlanner is a design platform for water and wastewater process plants. You draw a P&ID in which every symbol is an engineering object rather than a line on a page — so the same model produces the drawing, the bill of materials, the project schedule, and the process simulation, instead of four documents that have to be kept in step by hand.
This guide covers the product. It is split between how to use the application and the engineering behind it — the second is much the larger half, so if you are here to learn a screen, start with the three pages below rather than browsing the sidebar.
Read these three first
- Quick Start Guide — a project from nothing to a first result. Half an hour.
- Interface Overview — the editor shell: canvas, stencil panel, properties, results. Names the things the rest of the guide refers to.
- Drawing Overview — the editor is where most of the work happens; this is the map of it.
Then Finding Things, which is short and saves more time than its length suggests.

- Planning — the Gantt and critical path, resources, levelling, baselines, cost and earned value
- Collaboration — live editing, offline sync, notifications
- Carbon Footprint — the project Carbon tab, plus emission-factor methodology
- Safety Analysis — HAZOP, FMEA, SIL, LOPA, DSEAR
- Hydraulics — the steady-state pipe-network solver
- Admin — AI provider configuration, managing users
- Reference — glossary, design standards, units, and the platform API
The sidebar carries every page in the guide, generated from the tree, so nothing is reachable only by search.
What this guide does not cover
Application coverage is uneven, and the gaps are listed rather than hidden: What is documented, and what is not maps all 112 screens in the product against this guide and names the 53 that have no page. Read it before concluding a page is missing because you cannot find it.
