The work in this sector
Model utility and process P&IDsCompressed air, cooling water, steam and process lines live in the same structured model as the rest of the plant.
Cost the build against your own ratesGenerate a bill of materials priced from your project rate card, then your company rate card, then the shared material catalogue — never a single fixed price list.
Assess process safetyRun SIL assessment, LOPA and FMEA studies, and DSEAR zone classification, against the model.
How ErgoPlanner fits
Each job above is one product, not a bundled feature you can’t see the edges of.
Bill of materialsRate resolution order: project rate card → company rate card → material catalogue → seed catalogue.See bill of materials →
Safety studiesSIL assessment, LOPA, FMEA and DSEAR zone classification, each with its own report endpoint.See safety studies →
Standards this sector uses
- BS 1553 P&ID symbolsCarried in the cross-standard symbol registry alongside ISO 10628-2 and ISA-5.1.
- ISA-5.1 tag-format validationTag formats are checked against ISA-5.1 and duplicate tags are flagged as you tag.
Starting points
No named industrial starting template is seeded yet. The parametric template system that produced the two published water templates applies equally to an industrial utility assembly; none has been authored yet.
Not yet: generated preventive maintenance schedulesErgoPlanner does not generate preventive maintenance schedules, spare-parts lists or critical-equipment registers from the model — no service in the codebase produces them today. The equipment register itself is real; a maintenance-planning output built from it is not.
What we can show you, today
Rate resolution is real, and it is layered
A line item without a project-level rate falls back to the company rate card, then the material catalogue, then an engine seed catalogue — and the applied source is recorded on every generated bill of materials, not just the total.
2,660 symbols, counted
Across 100 shipped libraries, bucketed by the standard each follows. A count of the corpus, not an estimate.

Half an hour with one of your own P&IDs will tell you more than this page can.
